Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) - created by man in a matter of hours

Calcium carbonate is an immensely crucial inorganic salt material, serving as one of the most commonly used fillers in the manufacturing and processing industries. Its widespread applications encompass rubber, plastics, paper production, ink formulation, paint manufacturing, construction materials, agriculture, and fruit cultivation, among other fields. Depending on the production methods, calcium carbonate can be classified into two main forms, each characterized by distinct physical and chemical properties. One form is synthesized through chemical reactions, known as "light calcium carbonate." The most notable differences between precipitated and ground calcium carbonate lie in their pH values, fineness, and particle shapes. Precipitated calcium carbonate typically exhibits a spindle-like shape, while ground calcium carbonate features irregular particles. These variations in particle size and shape contribute to differences in oil absorption capacity and bulk density. We produce precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) in various crystal modifications: calcite, aragonite. In addition, the particle shape can be varied in a very large number of ways. The physical parameters for each of these crystal structure, e.g.
